Spring is an amazing season of the year and we want to celebrate it with you; and on the farm there's a lot to celebrate. Temperatures are rising and our plants are eager to start growing. We thought it the perfect time to do a little growing of our own by opening up our beautiful place for everyone. Check out what we have in store for you.
These are more than those simple easter egg hunts everyone does; we'll have one of those, of course, but we've got more. And everyone will get something.
This trail is design for young children ages 1-4 that is based on a traditional egg hunt. Children will love racing to find candy filled eggs hidden across our lawn.
We've hidden eggs around our farm that spell out a spring-time message. Find the eggs, write down the letters they contain, then unscramble the letters to find the message.
Move from one clue to another by deciphering the riddles at each clue location until you find the end.
This one is a simplified version of the Riddle Trail for younger children. Find different locations on the farm from a series of picture clues.
You'll also be able to play some fun games while you're here like sack racing or stumps. You'll also be able to ride our Cow Train or jump in the bounce house.
Because it's spring and the right time to start growing things, we're going to help you get a plant started. You can plant a seed and get your garden going. You can also make your own pipe cleaner animals or people, and help create a Spring Mural.
We're setting up a petting zoo where you can get up close and mingle with some of our softer animals.
Part of the celebration is a coloring contest. Get the picture and entry form. Entries will need to be received by March 19, 2008 for judging. Mail the entries to Lattin Farms 1955 McLean Rd, Fallon, NV 89406. Entries will be judged previous to the event and awards will be given in various age groups on the day of the event.
The 2008 Spring Jubliee will be held on Saturday, the 22nd of March from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 for visitors ages 2 and up. Parents are free. Admission includes access to all trails, games, crafts, animals and other activities.
