The raised-bed Garden, full of beautiful flowers and aromatic herbs is one of the newer additions to Lattin Farms. A particular pride and joy of one of the Farm’s proprietors, B.Ann Lattin (short for Beverly Ann), the Garden also brings delight to visitors as they enjoy the lovely walk through, as well as picking their own vegetables, herbs and flowers. We’ve placed a few benches and chairs in the Garden for your pleasure. You’re welcome to sit a spell.
Brought over from Buckland Station in Weeks, Nevada, by the Towle Family. This particularly large grindstone was powered by a one-cylinder engine and used to primarily sharpen tools. The Motor that was used to operate this Grindstone can be seen at #11on the Tour.
Just southwest of the Grindstone is a double-action Hand Water Pump widely-used in the1920s. Unless one was fortunate enough to have a motorized pump, this is the type of Pump that would’ve been used in coordination with a facility such as the Old Pump House (#4).
