Outhouse

This lavatory has done some travelin’! In 1928, L.S. Beaman, Bill Lattin’s uncle, built a family cabin at Twin Lakes, California. Their resort included this Outhouse which sat adjacent to the cabin. In 1968, the cabin went modern with indoor plumbing, so Grandpa (Bill) transported the Outhouse to the Farm, and then did a little remodeling. For nostalgia’s sake, though, we retained the lid of an old milk can for the handle. We’re willing to bet this Outhouse is the only one with a linoleum floor and sponge-painted walls! Not to mention the very convenient pressurized plumbing system and the clean-n-comfortable throne! So, should you have the need, be our guest.
